One of Ward's 10 Best Engines for 2013, the available 3.6L Pentastar® V6 with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) uses computer-aided engineering and computer-controlled intake and exhaust systems to maximize power and efficiency. The engine is able to provide up to 29 highway mpg and is mated to a six-speed automatic AutoStick transmission. This advanced powertrain is standard on Avenger R/T and available on SE and SXT models.
SHIFT THROUGH THE SIX SPEEDS OF HEAVEN.
Teamed with the 2.4L four-cylinder engine (on SXT), the available six-speed automatic transmission is equipped with a low first gear that is designed to make quick takeoffs from a stop. And it does that while using variable line pressure to help increase gas mileage+ and enhance reliability.
